What people need to understand is decades of corrupt Tax collection has led the PI to this point. If the rich companies paid their taxes to the fullest and not allow the tax auditors to get rich off of it, we would not be in this situation today. Now, the middle class get their taxes deducted at some 20% automatically. Whats to say all of that does go to the govt not individuals playing the numbers game.

“What everyone needs to understand is that government has lost its power to tax. After all the plunder committed, all the anomalies, the mismanagement of the economy, it has no more power to tax.” — Dr. Alejandro Lichauco, nationalist economist
“The government has no more moral authority to go on taxing the people, because taxes do not go to productive use: they instead go to debt servicing and bureaucratic corruption.” — Renato Reyes, Jr., secretary-general, Bagong Alyansang Makabayan
